On May 4, 2021, Family Promise of Beaverton and Family Promise of Washington County merged to become Family Promise of Greater Washington County. This merger joined two strong and well-respected organizations together to provide an even greater level of service to more children and their families suffering homelessness.

Volunteer Highlights

Many hands make light work.
More importantly, a transformational impact in the lives of
families and children facing homelessness.

Family Promise of Greater Washington County volunteers and staff members joined efforts in clearing out the "Hillsboro" house to prepare it for a renovation. Once finished, the house will be a shelter for at least three families. We are excited about this new transition and can't wait for this project to start. Stay tuned on how you can join us in this invaluable effort for the families we serve.

Meet Jennelle Phillips

Jennelle is the Parish event/host coordinator for St. Cecilia Church. She is also in charge of the Beaverton Buddies program, a prevention program for families struggling financially. Most schools in the district have a form they give to low-income families in the community. If there is a need, the family completes the form and Jennelle puts together the items requested, which often include toilet paper, laundry detergent, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. Jannelle not only packages but also volunteers to deliver the items to families.
