Thank you to all those who attended the first H2-Aero Symposium & Workshop!!!
Please see link to Vertiflite Magazine Article ( Excerpt) about the event.
The 1st H2-Aero Symposium & Workshop held, March 29–31, in Long Beach, California was a stellar event with the "Who's Who" of the aerospace industry, hydrogen and fuel cell industry — as well as representatives from local and national governments. It was clear from the large aircraft manufacturers to the startups, that the industry is on a trajectory towards disruption with there was unified agreement the path towards zero carbon is with renewable hydrogen, fuel cells (and turbines for the largest planes).
Thank you for flying out and participating in the sold out event. There was a number of press releases at the event with innovations from new hydrogen Aircrafts as well as a novel liquid hydrogen storage. We also had a chance to see the latest Shell's hydrogen fueling station at the Long Beach Pier.
At the Workshop portion, the industry 'rolled up their sleeves' to discuss the content of the whitepaper. This included the first-time draft of a common fuel per aircraft class. The result is that only gaseous and liquid hydrogen were chosen by the team for onboard storage. As a starting point, the following 11 companies have committed to helped draft H2-Aero Whitepaper definition document: Aircraft Companies: Airbus, Bartini, Bell Textron Inc., FlyShare, Lockheed Martin/Sikorsky, LuftCar, Piasecki Aircraft Corporation, Supernal/ Hyundai, ZeroAvia, Hydrogen Companies: Shell, ZEV Station
We need you to join the H2-Aero Whitepaper: Feel free to indicate if your organization would like to join into this effort to draft a definition document. We welcome government/ industry/ academia to start this effort. You are welcome to state at the Team meeting and/or message this email: Admin@H2-Aero.com
There will be a short summary of the workshop at Monday's H2-Aero Team Monthly call and a more detailed follow-on thereafter.
