Future Tense: Why Anxiety is Good For You (Even Though It Feels Bad)

Celebrating Tom Kitt Tony Nomination

Tracy and Tom In Conversation About Anxiety and Creativity

"A powerful and deeply informed new voice in the important conversation around anxiety and its causes and effects. Future Tense offers knowledge, empathy, and clarity in these times when chronic emotional pain has been normalized. Framing how anxiety works in our favor is a revolutionizing shifting perspective.”

- Alanis Morissette

Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary's book Future Tense: Why Anxiety is Good for You (Even Though it Feels Bad), published by Harper Collins, launched last week!  She was also featured on the cover of The Wall Street Journal this past Saturday! In Tracy’s own words, “Anxiety isn't an emotional malfunction. It's an essential part of being human that evolved to help us. When we engage it rather than suppress it, anxiety can help us face the uncertain future with more creativity, persistence, and even hope.” All of us here at TEG+ are so proud!

Nominations for the 75th Annual Tony Awards were announced this week. We are sending huge congratulations to award-winning composer, long-time collaborator & Jagged orchestrator, and TEG+ Board Member, Tom Kitt who was nominated for his work in Flying Over Sunset alongside lyricist Michael Korie. The Tony Awards air June 12th on CBS.

Worlds collide next Thursday, May 19th, when Tracy joins Tom in conversation about the powerful link between creativity and anxiety and learning to use it to our advantage. Held at Hunter College and followed by a Future Sense book signing and reception, registration is free and open to everyone; We'll see you there!

Congratulation again to Tracy and Tom!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Warmest Regards,
