Richmond News
The Richmond street reconstruction project has seen a slight delay, but for a very good reason. The City secured an additional $2 million dollars in Congressionally delegated spending from the Federal Government. The details on how we will get the funds are trickling in, however the additional funds will help defer the costs to the citizens of Richmond .

Richmond River Lake Days is seeking gate volunteers, if you are interested in supporting this community event by volunteering please reach out to the River Lake Days committee at richmondriverlakedays@gmail.com.

NEW IN TOWN
Unleashed Pet Grooming
Kate is the owner of Unleashed Pet Grooming. First, let us tell you she is a very motivated woman with a passion for entrepreneurship. She opened her grooming business in Richmond last fall in the old Jill's Café building (which makes it easy to find). Kate is a Kimball native and grew up on a farm where her love of animals came from. Upon graduating from college with a degree in Agricultural and Communication (hopefully I got that right), she began a career in news reporting and spent some time as a reporter. When the pandemic hit, she started to make her dream of being a business owner come to light. She got her degree in pet grooming, took over the woodshop shed at home and began pet grooming. Now in her own building and booked out until the end of the month! Her passion clearly shines as she toured us through her shop, which showed her knowledge, passion and joy! I learned so much about the behind the scenes of pet grooming, what goes into, what tools are used, how she has designed her space to accommodate all sizes of cats and dogs, and how she thought through all aspect to ensure a great experience for the animals in her care (as a groomer the animals are key!). She is working on additional animal certificates and does continued education classes to ensure her services to animals are truly the best care around.  Thank Kate for choosing Richmond!
Sara's Sole Care
Sara spent 20 years working in the healthcare field where she recognized the need for foot care services. She is a registered nurse and served as the Director of Nursing at an Assisted Living facility. Sara began Sara's Sole Care in February of this year providing in-home services, as well as seeing clients at Regional Health Center here in Richmond. Sara and her husband have been married for 15 years, along with their two boys, two dogs and a bird live on the northside of Richmond with deep roots to the community. Sara's parents live in Richmond and her in-laws are in Cold Spring. Listening to Sara speak towards the importance of foot care was inspiring, and more importantly I learned foot care, for some, can be challenging and complicated. Her knowledge, passion and genuine drive to provide affordable, timely and quality foot care to Central Minnesota is impressive. She offers an alternative service that is affordable and timely to those who need in-home care or a location closer to home.  Her in-home services are key to those who are unable to leave home, or leave home easily. She sees the greatest need with seniors, people with disabilities and family members unable or uncomfortable to perform foot care themselves. Welcome Sara!
