JOIN OUR MAY 5TH WEBINAR
FOR A SPECIAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

This month, Together Women Rise is partnering with Yamba Malawi to empower women, including many young mothers, to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their children. Yamba Malawi uses a unique, poverty graduation model with both community-wide programming and household-level support.

We are pleased to have Yamba Malawi’s Managing Director, Kim McCall, as a speaker at our national webinar this Thursday, May 5th at 8 pm ET. Our national webinars are free and open to everyone.

The Yamba Malawi project and last month’s project with Second Mile Haiti, both focus – at least in part – on the importance of good nutrition to improve the long-term health and economic wellbeing of women, children, and families living in extreme poverty. Countries like Malawi and Haiti are not alone in experiencing the dire consequences of malnutrition. On our May 5th webinar, we will also learn more about the broader issue of global malnutrition from the Co-Chairs of our Advocacy Group with RESULTS: Dr. Leslye Heilig, long-time Rise member and retired pediatrician, and Ken Patterson, Director of Grassroots Impact with RESULTS.

Leslye and Ken will discuss the current state of global malnutrition, including the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. They will also share about the efforts under way to ensure that the US makes global nutrition programs a funding priority.

Please join us on Thursday, May 5th at 8 pm. Encourage others to join as well. Our monthly webinars are a great way to introduce new people to our Together Women Rise community!
