Greetings from Aillio

It's time for school. The long-awaited guide to very small-batch roasting from Rob Hoos is here, as well as more classes (and coupons!) from SCA roasting guru Morten Münchow. Let’s get started.

(Very) Small Batch Roasting w/ Rob

We recently asked Rob Hoos to give us a hand answering the Bullet community's questions about small-batch/sample roasting. Thanks to everyone who submitted to us. We did our best to group your questions according to subject matter in order to address them all without being redundant -- as long as they were about small-batch roasting.

You can read the entire piece here. There is a lot of content, but if you’re feeling impatient, you can use the table of contents at the top of the page to jump ahead to what matters most to you. (Which is probably that Roast Recipe...)

And if you haven't already, be sure to add us on social media (FB + IG) where Rob will soon be sharing a video of him running through a sample roast himself. :)

CoffeeMind Courses w/ Morten

In other coffee education news, Morten Münchow from CoffeeMind is now offering two science-based courses specifically for Bullet users.

The first is a general Roast Profile Design E-Learning course that has been adapted to include more useful info for Bullet users. This course can be taken for free by heading here and then inputting the coupon code "bullet-customer-elearning" on the checkout page.

The second is a live, hands-on "Virtual" Bullet course that is offered periodically. You will have the option to receive SCA certification for the course. The next class will be May 11th. To learn more about it, and to check the latest available slots, please visit https://coffee-mind.com/events -- and don't forget to use the coupon "bullet-customer-virtual" for a 20% discount. :)

New Owners: Check your drum motor pulley

We've recently had some problems with the drum motor pulley (the smaller of the two pulleys) coming loose on some new Bullets. The main symptom is the drum slowing down -- or stopping altogether -- when you load beans. We just want new owners to be aware of the potential issue and make sure the pulley set screws are tight before roasting, as per the manual. (After tightening, everything should be fine for the future.)

If you need any assistance, don't hesitate to contact your local distributor, or reach us directly at support@aillio.com

That's all for now everyone, keep drinking great coffee.
