Fraudsters are active in our area - A Police Request to be vigilant in avoiding a repeat.

• The incident occurred in Kirkby Malzeard towards the end of April and the fraud initially involved a telephone claim to be a Police Officer.

• The details are included in a message from PCSO Alison Swan that includes good advice on how to check the credentials of a Police Officer. It emphasises that you should not use the phone on which you received the call to verify the claimed officers' bonafides.
