VAI is hiring a Development Officer
Post: Development Officer, Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector
Responsible to: Deputy Chief Executive
Duration: 12 months
Hours: Part Time: 2-2.5 days per week (14-17 hours)
Benefits: 28 days Annual Leave (pro rata) and 6% pension contribution

We continue with the 1-to-1 National Lottery Community Fund Surgeries every 2 months. The next surgery is on Monday 16 May 2022 at Elizabeth House Community Centre. For more info and book here.
VAI will be kickstarting the first of the (North, Central & South) monthly Local Wellbeing Network Meetings. This takes the form of in-person community-based meetings, hosted by a rotating network member. This meeting is open to anyone working or living in the area and provides a platform to discuss concerns or share ideas on how we as citizens can work together and achieve positive social change. At the end of April we saw the start of our Community Organiser training, as part of the Local Health & Wellbeing Networks project, where we’re upskilling 45 Islington community members and training them on how to engage with their local area and kickstart some form of positive social change. After their two introductory sessions, we’ll be taking 15 people through our 6-month training programme and celebrating them as our Community Change-Makers! Desk Space available at Voluntary Action Islington

Islington People's Theatre is a newly formed Community Interest Company, based in the borough of Islington. We work with vulnerable and marginalised individuals and groups in the borough using Applied Theatre and drama processes to co-create socially engaged work to bring about personal and social change.
