FJ Family Farm

FJ Family Farms is located in Mount Airy and at the Curb Market you will find this friendly young farm family located on Aisle A. New to the Market in 2021, they are dedicated to ethically raising sustainable breeds providing them with non-GMO soy-free feed. Franklin and Whitney offer pasture raised chicken, pasture/forest raised pork and pasture raised eggs.

Their family includes daughters Annabelle and Sadie who enjoy farm life and the relatively docile Gloucester Old Spot pigs, originally developed in Gloucester England as an orchard pig and live well on the 8 acres they raise them on. They choose heritage breed stock to sell at Market.  Market customers have been discovering their delicious chicken which is very popular and often sells out on Saturday.  Whitney confirmed they have processed more chicken for this Saturday's market (just in time for Mother's Day!)

They will have turkey cuts for the first time this summer, plan to bring some vegetables later in the summer, and will be taking orders for Thanksgiving turkeys in late August/early September.

FJ Family farms is also one of the vendors at the Curb Market participating in the online pre-order for pick up to guarantee your orders in advance. Currently you can purchase a variety of sausages (andouille, garlic brats, maple links) and bulk (mild and hot sage, Spanish chorizo) along with St. Louis style spare ribs, center cut pork chops (bone in and boneless). Shop the online store here: https://www.localline.ca/greensboro-farmers-market

"If you haven't tried it yet, highly recommend FJ Family Farms thick cut bacon!" says Executive Director Lee Mortensen.
