Youth Ministry

Thank You Mothers!

Thanks for all that you do to nurture your children in the faith!  Thank you for all of the prayers you have said with your children, for your willingness to try to answer their toughest faith questions, for getting them up and dressed and to worship on Sunday morning, and for encouraging them to participate in their first church retreat, conference, or mission trip.  Your hard work has not gone unnoticed.  These are baptismal promises being fulfilled!  The role you play in your children's relationship with God cannot be overstated:  “A lot of research in the sociology of religion suggests that the most important social influence in shaping young people’s religious lives is the religious life modeled and taught to them by their parents.”  (Soul Searching, 56).  Thanks for all that you do!

Please note:  there will be no youth group on Sunday, May 8

Boating and Swimming Party, Sunday, May 15 4-6pm

Join us as we celebrate the end of the school year at the Danielowski’s home on May 15 from 4-6pm.  We’ll be boating, swimming, and enjoying dinner.  Meet at 1895 Bowens Island Road, James Island, and be sure to bring your bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen.  In addition, if you haven't submitted your once-a-year Youth Permission and Release Statement for 2021-2022, please have a parent complete the form before attending.  If you are able, please also bring lifejackets and tubes/boards for boating.  A limited number of rides from the church are available which will depart the Kirk House at 3:30pm and return at 6:45pm.  Reserve your ride using the Boating and Swimming Party Transportation SignUpGenius.  Questions about this event?  Contact James Rogers.
