It's been a busy week - especially as we have all lost a day with the Bank Holiday (or gained which ever way you want to look at it) - but lots of great things going on and it was really lovely to meet so many members at our event on Tuesday.

First to update you on our Rail Safety and Infrastructure networking event which took place on Tuesday 3 May at the University of Birmingham. We had a great turn out and we are very appreciative of our speakers -  Nick Millington, Head of Network Rail Safety Task Force & President of the PWI, Darryl Hopper, RSSB Health & Well Being Programme Manager, John Ellison, Head of SHEQ - Midland Metro Alliance, Tim Gray, Managing Director at Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe Ltd, Pankaj Kapoor, Operations Director at RSS Infrastructure Ltd, and our event sponsor: S&C Alliance represented by Tim Flower, UK Account Director, KONUX. VolkerFitzpatrick appointed to build three railway stations in Birmingham | RailBusinessDaily - Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has appointed construction firm VolkerFitzpatrick to build three railway stations on the Camp Hill line in south Birmingham. It is part of the £61 million scheme to reintroduce passenger train services to Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell for the first time in 80 years. 

GRAHAM to provide bridge across Great Eastern Main Line | RailBusinessDaily - GRAHAM has been awarded a contract to build a new three-span bridge and link road which will take traffic over the Great Eastern Main Line and A12 slip-road. The project is part of the Chelmsford East Beaulieu S278 Works (RDR Phase 3) project. The £16.77 million project will connect the A130 Essex Regiment Way and the Beaulieu and Channels housing developments, on the west side of the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML), to the A12 Boreham interchange on the east side of the railway.

RIA #InnovationNavigator Self Assessment Tool! - Launched at the RIA Innovation Conference, the tool helps assess rail supply businesses' 'innovation readiness' levels.  The Self-Assessment Tool is the first part of Innovation Navigator to go live, a new online guide to help businesses navigate the world of rail innovation. HS2 Market Sounding: On-Track Machines (OTM)

High Speed Two (HS2) Limited (HS2 Ltd) is writing to invite your organisation/ business networks to participate in a market sounding exercise regarding the supply and maintenance of a fleet of On-Track Machines (OTMs) to maintain the infrastructure of HS2, Britain’s new high-speed zero-carbon railway.  We invite you to review the Periodic Indicative Notice (PIN) which HS2 Ltd published on Find a Tender on 03/05/22.  Please kindly provide your feedback by a deadline of 5pm UK GMT on Tuesday 7th June 2022
