State Historic Sites Prepare to Welcome Summer Visitors
BISMARCK, N.D.–State historic sites managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota are preparing to welcome visitors for the summer travel season. All times are Central time unless otherwise noted.
Camp Hancock State Historic Site, Bismarck. Summer hours begin May 27: Friday-Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
Chateau de Morès State Historic Site, Medora. Summer hours begin May 30: daily, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. MT
Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site, Bismarck. Summer hours begin May 15: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, noon-4 p.m.
Fort Abercrombie State Historic Site, near Fargo. Summer hours begin May 28: daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Fort Buford State Historic Site, near Williston. Summer hours begin May 28: daily, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, near Williston, is open year-round: daily, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Fort Mandan State Historic Site, Washburn. Beginning June 1: tours of Fort Mandan will originate at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at regular intervals daily.
Fort Totten State Historic Site, near Devils Lake. Summer hours begin May 28: daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, Washburn. Summer hours begin June 1: daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site, Cooperstown. Summer hours begin May 27: daily, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Stutsman County Courthouse State Historic Site, Jamestown. Summer hours begin May 28: Wednesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Welk Homestead State Historic Site, near Strasburg. Summer hours begin May 28: Thursday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck and Pembina State Museum are open year-round. The ND Heritage Center & State Museum is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Pembina State Museum is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
