Don't forget to place your order for weekend delivery. New speedy deadline is Fridays by close of business. We deliver Fruit and Veggie boxes each week from Ghent in Norfolk, thru Currituck and Camden County on the mainland and ended up Sunday with deliveries from Corolla to Manteo / Wanchese

New in 2022 : The Veggie Bus!

GREAT NEWS! Starting Sunday, May 15, we will have the Veggie Bus at the Currituck Club Pool Parking lot. Hours will be 8 am to 12 noon. In the afternoon from 1 pm to 5 pm, we will have the bus at another location in Corolla, soon to be announced.

The Veggie Bus made it's debut at the Currituck Master Gardeners Flower and Garden Show last Saturday! We had over 200 visitors check out the bus and shop with us. In addition to shopping on the Veggie Bus, visitors got to hang out with Buddy the Barred Rock rooster and get free samples of select veggies.

Adopt-a-Sunflower

We've implemented a Roadside Beautification project along our fields facing NC 168 (Caratoke Highway) and Maple Rd (SR1246). Phase I was picking up trash along those roadside fields - we gathered three 18 gallon tubs of assorted debris! Phase II involved planting over a mile of sunflowers in Maple, and more to come in Barco. Follow this link to Adopt-a-Sunflower !

Farm News
Jody and I have been busy all winter. In addition to the 28 acres of farmland under lease in Maple, we broke ground on some new farmland in Barco, where we currently have 3 acres of 40 total cleared of scrub brush, tilled and planted. We're growing potatoes of all colors (Red, White, Blue, Gold, Russet and Norland); several varieties of May Peas' several varieties of Squash & Zucchini; and Swiss Chard. The Barco property features a 49,000 year old oyster reef on the Land of Promise ridge, from a time when sea level was 3 meters (10 feet) higher. Food Quality / Return & Replacement Policy
All food items are inspected for defects / spoilage as your boxes are packed. Delivery Boxes are packed the evening before OR the morning of your delivery day. As expected, some items can have hidden defects; ripen in the confines of the delivery box; or become damaged in transport. We offer a 100%, no questions asked return/replacement policy. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have problems with an item or items in your delivery!

In some cases, we have issued refunds OR credits for future deliveries

Food Assistance

Do you know someone who needs food assistance? A portion of our weekly food deliveries are set aside for Food Assistance boxes.

We have approximately 25 Veggie Boxes and 25 Fruit Boxes available each week for food assistance. The Veggie Box also contains a package of pasta, rice, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, and a variety of canned vegetables and soup All food assistance suggestions are kept anonymous.
Anyone who wishes to purchase Veggi-eBucks to help with the Food Assistance Program may do so by purchasing $1, $2, $5, $10, $20
Funds from Veggi-eBucks for Food Assistance help us purchase the dry goods placed in each box.
