Did you know that census information is used to determine how much money provinces and municipalities get for services such as education and health?
Census helps government decide where to build facilities, including schools and hospitals and the funding of these is linked to the size of the population. If you are not counted, your community may not get the services and funding it needs. Stats SA is giving you another chance to participate in Census 2022 before 14 May.
You can wait to be visited by a Stats SA fieldworker OR complete the questionnaire online by visiting getcounted.statssa.gov.za. Census 2022 field workers can be identified by their Census 2022 branded bibs, tablets and identification cards.
Still not comfortable? You can visit statssa.gov.za to verify the fieldworker at your door. For more information, visit statssa.gov.za or call the toll-free line 0800 110 248. Once again Western Cape, please do your part!

Sensustelling-ramp tref die Wes-Kaap,
met slegs 61% van sy inwoners wat getel is.
Die Wes-Kaap kan befondsing verloor gelykstaande aan 1 615 dokters of 5 981 verpleegsters, en meer as ongeveer 9 300 onderwysers as net 70% van die inwoners by die 2022-sensus getel word.
Dit is volgens benaderde projeksies deur die Wes-Kaapse Provinsiale Tesourie.
Die Wes-Kaap is tans ver onder die land se gemiddelde van die aantal mense wat vir die 2022-sensus getel is. Met die einde in sig, is slegs 61% van die provinsie se inwoners na raming getel.
"As dit sou gebeur, sal dit die gehalte van gesondheidsorg- en onderwysdienste wat ons verskaf, ernstig ondermyn, in 'n tyd waarin die vraag na dienste al hoe meer druk," sê Alan Winde, die Wes-Kaapse premier, in 'n verklaring,

Skaapskeer- Baie geluk
aan Elmoné Slabber wat 'n silwer medale by die nasionale wolhantering kompetisie vir skoliere verwerf het.
Baie geluk ook aan Jean-Mari Jordaan wat 'n silwer medalje vir skaapskeer in die skoliere katagorie verwerf het. Geluk ook aan Juan van Zyl wat tans vierde in Suid-Afrika is met wolhantering by die skoliere-afdeling.
Elmoné en Jean-Mari oefen al van graad 9 af om te kwalifiseer vir hierdie klipharde kompetisie. Ons is dankbaar dat hulle in matriek uiteindelik kon kwalifiseer. Harde werk word beloon.

25 Augustus tot 4 September in die Blomkerk op Clanwilliam.
Weens Covid-19 kon ons vir twee jaar nie skou hou nie.
Die tema van vanjaar se skou en die verkiesing van die nuwe bestuur sal geskied tydens die jaarvergadering op 20 April. Enigiemand wat wil kom handjie bysit met die bou van vanjaar se spesiale skou, is meer as welkom.
