IRB CARNIVAL AT HAMPTON: PITCH IN AND CHEER US ON!
|
|
Hampton Life Saving Club is hosting our first IRB carnival in a long time. It's a big event, in preparation for the state championships in June.
It'll be a thrilling day of racing, with the BBQ, kiosk and bar open. Bring the family out to see the IRB team in action and, even better, lend a hand! We need support from the kiosk to pack-up. It's a great opportunity to see what else is available through HLSC and for the club to raise funds. But we need your help, the more the merrier!
Sunday, 29 May 2022
Setup begins 6am
Events 8:30am to 3:30pm
Packup around 4pm
(Bar opens mid-afternoon)
Click here to see the roster and add your name to work the BBQ, tend bar or provide general assistance. Every hour helps!

NOTES FROM U15 DEVELOPMENT CAMP
|
|
Recently, Daniel Henry and I attended the Under-15 Leadership Development Camp at Anglesea. We both had a really great time learning new lifesaving skills and meeting people from around the state with like-minded interests.
A highlight was the amazing race activity. It gave us an opportunity to develop our leadership skills, work collaboratively and have fun at the same time. The camp leaders were inspiring, and across a broad range of ages and expertise. Some of their involvement in LSV included education, IRB, Jet Ski, lifeguard and drone pilot. They spoke to us about pathways through LSV and the importance of volunteering and community engagement.
I highly recommend this program to upcoming Nippers.
