Hi <<First Name>>,

Mandarin Service

This Sunday at 10 a.m.

This Sunday Pastor Jack will continue the series on 1Timothy. This week he will focus on just 2 verses in chapter 6. These 2 verses have created a lot of controversy. Critics of the Bible and of Paul point to these verses and accuse Paul of condoning the evil of slavery. It is important for us to see what the Bible actually has to say about slavery, and how this topic relates to us today, and how we can answer those who attack Christianity over this issue.

If you are not able to attend, we will live stream our 10:00am service on YouTube. Click on the button below to access our YouTube Channel.

Cantonese Service

This Sunday at the Cantonese service, Min. Joshua will share with us about being "Rooted in Christ and Growing Up." May is the month that Cantonese Congregation is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Let us encourage one another, continue to grow in sanctification, and be a rooted and fruitful Church. May God encourage us and may the word of God be the lamp for our feet and the light unto our path.

OWL Sunday School

“Flee these things and pursue righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.”
1 Timothy 6:11b

Greetings OWL families.

This Sunday, the pre-schoolers and primary children will look at the story of Lot , Sodom and Gomorrah, (Genesis 13:1-13; 14:12 )showing how much God hates Sin, and we are to choose God’s way. The preteens will review the 4 lessons on ‘Our Identity’.

We will also be handing out the May ‘Write a verse a Day challenge ‘ to the children. This month, our theme is ‘perseverance’. Parents, if you are new to this, it’s a challenge we gave the children last month to encourage them to write out a verse every day.  It is a great way for our children to learn God’s words and be familiar with the books in the Bible.

Please could you encourage your children to do this. You can also post the verses around the house ( eg stick them on the bathroom mirror, on the front door, lunch boxes etc…) to help them remember these verses.
If your child has completed the April booklet, please encourage them to bring it on Sunday to show the aunties. We have a gift for them!

Blessings for a safe and joyful week.
