A pawfect day to celebrate Guide Dogs

Government House was the pawfect venue to celebrate International Guide Dog Day on April 27, with an event hosted by Hughes’ client Guide Dogs SA/NT.

Guide Dogs patron, Governor Frances Adamson, whose First Dog Alfie had to watch from a window, welcomed volunteers, puppy trainers, staff and clients to the lawns for the event, which recognised the past, present and future Guide Dogs, Facility Dogs and Assistance Dogs.

The town was also bathed in orange that night – or more so prominent buildings and bridges – to recognise the contribution that Guide Dogs SA/NT has made to the community for the past 57 years. We even had puppies at the event, with our MC, Channel 7’s Amelia Mulcahy, also putting a story together for that night’s Ray of Sunshine segment - watch here.

Smartgroup thanks frontline workers

Smartgroup COO Sarah Hass took to the stage to thank the attendees before Port players Orazio Fantasia and Trent McKenzie took part in a Q&A.

Hughes has worked with Smartgroup on a number of initiatives, including building media relationships, improving its social media reach and developing its partnership with Port Adelaide.

VALO lights up at Norwood Oval

Premium lighting business VALO has expanded and moved premises to Kent Town, and will be bringing manufacturing back onshore at its $8m R&D and production facility.

In April, Hughes worked with VALO to promote its business developments, including working with Norwood Football Club to install the first round-the-ground LED advertising in the SANFL, to upgrading its lighting to ensure the club’s grounds can serve as the home of AFLW in South Australia, and to work towards becoming carbon neutral.

Petratherm has published its latest drilling results from its exploration projects in the Northern Gawler Craton of South Australia.

The results revealed excellent rare earth mineralisation – further reinforcing the company’s exploration strategy. Rare earth metals are increasingly in demand due to their key role in emerging technologies enabling the carbon neutral transition.

Hughes worked with Petratherm to publish its announcement to the ASX and to media with the news resulting in coverage in The Advertiser, The Australian and several financial and investment titles including Stockhead and The Market Herald whose report you can read here.
