Dear Parents of 3^rd - 5^th grade Parents and Students,

尊敬的3-5年级的家长和同学们：

It is the time of year again to test our students using the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress). This test occurs in the Fall, Winter, and then the Spring. The purpose of the MAP Winter Assessment is to check to see if students are progressing in their learning throughout the year and celebrate student growth in each of the core Math, Reading, and Language Arts subjects. In the chart below, I have listed the target score for each subject and grade level. The goal is for students to score the same or higher than each of their grade level targets.
又到了一年中使用MAP（学业进展测评）来测试学生的时候。这项测试通常在秋冬及次年春季进行。MAP测评的目的是检查学生在整年学习中所取得的进步，查验他们为升入下一年级打下的基础如何。我在下列表格中列出了各年级每个科目的目标分数。目的是让学生的分数达到或高于每个年级的目标。

Please ensure that your child has enough sleep each night, has eaten a healthy breakfast, and comes to school on time for the test. We thank you for your extra support during this MAP test, and we look forward to sharing how your child has grown in his/her knowledge over this last semester.
请确保您的孩子每晚睡眠充足，早上吃健康的早餐，并且按时到校参加考试。感谢您在本次MAP考试中给予的额外支持，我们期待着与您分享您孩子最后这一学期里在知识上的长进。
