Upcoming and recent opportunities 
Minecraft Youth Group (Virtual)

Oxygen has a virtual youth group which is conducted via Minecraft and Discord. This provides the opportunity for those aged 10-18 to meet like-minded young people and connect with eachother through gaming. The server can be accessed everyday between 9am - 10pm, and they host Minecraft sessions each Wednesday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm with youth workers online.

JobCentre Jobs Fair 

On Tuesday 17 May from 10am - 4pm, JobCentre is hosting a jobs fair in Kingston for those who are claiming any type of benefit. Over 20 employers from various sectors with live vacancies attending along with pre-employment and training support providers. This will take place in their Anstee House JCP opposite the Bentalls Centre.

Cafe Team Member vacancy 

There is currently a vacancy at Ginger Bee's Cafe in Kingston for a Junior Cafe Team Member. The daily duties of this role include clearing and cleaning tables, providing a high standard of customer service, serving customers, and more. No previous experience is required, making this a perfect first job.

Apprenticeship spotlight
Apprentice Chef - Level 2

Greene King are looking for a new young person with a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience to join their team as an apprentice chef. Applicants must be willing to work evenings and weekends and have a passion for their role. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to boost their career, undertake Functional Skills maths and English if needed, and potentially a permanent role at the end.

Office-based Social Media Support Traineeship 

This traineeship is based in New Malden and will consist of a 2 week work placement in an office alongside 4 month individual training plan. Work placement duties may include supporting the marketing manager and marketing team with project organisation, building strong relationships with customer, composing and posting online content for the company’s social media page and website, and more.

Trainee Healthcare Assistant 

Bupa is advertising their traineeship opportunity to local young people who are currently not in education, employment or training. This will enable the trainee to develop some of the skills required to become a healthcare worker. Duties may include supporting residents to move around the home (this might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist), serving meals/drinks and transferring residents to the dining room, assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing and toileting, and more.
