POSTPONED!!! (AGAIN)

Saturdays inspection and splits have been postponed to next Saturday, May 14th

Once again Mother Nature is not on our side and I need to postpone the inspection this Saturday another week.

I did take advantage of the nice weather on Wednesday and pop up to the FLC on my lunch break and take a quick look in the hives.

-Hive number 1 (the smaller population hive) still only has 5 frames of brood total so will be about perfect to split next weekend.

-Hive number 2 had no signs of queen cells YET and is right at about 4 frames of brood in each box.  If I would have seen the queen I would have spit it then, however since I did not, I decided to roll the dice and press my luck.  This will either turn into a huge split or swarm.  Either way it will be a good learning experience on how to split a hive that has queen cells or what to do if you have a hive that swarms.

The new time will be next Saturday May 14th at 1:30PM.  I will be sending out a confirmation email on Friday.
