As a friend of Peninsula READS, you can help make this year's Give Local 757, our best ever! Every dollar is needed to help us serve more adult learners with little to no literacy skills - skills needed to read street signs, complete job applications, follow prescription labels, and make life more effective for themselves and their families.
This is personal to you too, <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>! Studies have shown that communities with higher literacy rates enjoy better school systems, lower crime rates, higher property values, less overuse of emergency services, thriving business sectors, greater community engagement, and so much more! Your donation on Give Local 757 day will help reach more of the 30,000+ adults on the Peninsula with zero to very little literacy skills. With no other organization on the Peninsula serving these lowest level literacy learners, these are the adults that need our help the most!
So, join us on Tuesday, May 10th, and give your best donation to Peninsula READS to help with things like educational materials, tutor training, and sponsorships for adults who need financial assistance to participate in learning programs. Oh, wait! You can also make your donation go even further! If you make your online donation between 9am and 10am, Peninsula READS can win an additional $757 by being the organization with the most unique donors in the hour!
