SCPD Squad License Plate Art Contest

The St. Cloud Police Department is putting on an art contest for the St. Cloud youth! They will be designing front license plates for our 33 marked squad cars. It will be open to any St. Cloud area student between the ages 5-17. Submissions will be accepted between May 2 - May 20. There will be a drop-off site for submissions at each school, front desk of the police department, COP House, Boys & Girls Clubs, and the COP House email at stcloudcophouse@gmail.com. 33 winners will be selected to have their design displayed on our squads. The informational flyer and artwork template are available below.

As a reward for our Trimester Three Tardy Challenge, North will be hosting an Activity Night on Wednesday, May 11th from 3:15pm to 5:00pm. Any student with 3 tardies or less from 4/11-4/29 will be invited to attend. Students who are eligible to participate will be notified by their Advisory teacher the week of May 3rd. Students who attend Activity Night will need transportation home from North at 5:00pm.

The Rox are teaming up with Country Financial to recognize teachers at all grade levels for their extraordinary efforts to help inspire and make a difference with their students whether in the classroom, through virtual lessons, and or work with the kids in the community. The Rox have set up a special online form for students to nominate their favorite teacher that can be found here.  Nominations will be accepted through May 25th.  Each of the Central Minnesota Teachers-of-the-Year will be recognized prior to a Rox game.

Thank You so much for your Rox cheers and support!

Covid test kits for students are available in the office for parents to pick up.  ONLY parents can pick up the tests; students cannot pick up the tests.  The tests are ONE per student.  If you have multiple students in multiple schools in the district, you can pick up enough tests for all students at one site.  North's main office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4:00 pm.  The test kits will also be handed out to parents during Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 31st.

Student Social Media Use

Parents please take some time again to review the resources shared below and have a candid discussion with your student regarding his or her use of social media.  It will take a consistent and continuing partnership between home and school to ensure that our students are practicing accountability, respect, and empathy when engaging in online communication and information sharing.

North Jr. High Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

North Families, when dropping off or picking up your student from school, please follow the guidelines below. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping student drop-off and pick-up a safe experience for all.

  • When entering the parking lot, please pull as far forward as possible before stopping your vehicle.
  • The waiting lane for vehicles is the lane immediately next to the curb (closet to the building)
  • The middle lane in the parking lot must remain open at all times. Please do not stop or park in the middle lane.
  • Please do not double park and block-in other vehicles.
  • When a parking lot attendant or School Resource Officer is present, please follow their directions.
  • Please be courteous and considerate to other families. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
  • If you plan to drop your student(s) off at Door 3 in the morning, please be mindful of other students being dropped off and staff that are entering the building. Also, please remember that Door 1 is our designated parent drop off Door
