Friends, 

We've got exciting things happening in the life of the Church, and we want to make sure you know all about what God is doing! Please take some time to read through this email as it gives updates on a few different areas. 

Bend Friends Update: 
BFC is growing - they had close to 50 for Easter Sunday - and they are in need of a Pastor to be released for ministry to continue this growth, to lead in decisions, and to be able to invest in the life of the Church. 

We made the announcement in Church last Sunday that Pastor Mario has felt called to step into this role, and we are excited for how God has grown and shaped him in preparation for this calling. The Elders and Pastor Jadon all have the same sense that this is how God is leading. 

Our goal all along is for BFC to grow and have a dedicated Pastor there. And God is putting all of these pieces together for His Kingdom here in Central Oregon. Keep praying for Bend Friends & the Mendoza family! Though we will see them less here at MFCC, we are all one Church Body, and we will be doing more things in the future to connect both Bend Friends & Metolius Friends. 

Worship Leader Update: 
With this news and transition for the Mendozas, Jade will be stepping out as Worship Leader for MFCC. The Elders are recommending hiring Carol Adams to fill this open staff position. Carol has helped lead at Church on and off over the past few months, and also led worship for our Women's Retreat in February. She's done a fantastic job and has fit right into the life of the Church. 

There will be a special called meeting for business on May 15 directly after the Sunday Service with the Elder recommendation to hire Carol. 

If you have any questions about these transitions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Elders or the Pastoral Staff. Thanks be to God that He is working in both churches for us to have to have these types of discussions, discernments, and wins for His Kingdom. God is blessing us big time, and our focus needs to be on continuing to listen and be obedient in these next steps for our churches. I’m thankful for each one of you, and I’m glad that I get to serve alongside you for Jesus.

Business Meeting Update: 
Our Quarterly Meeting for Business last Sunday went very well! If you weren't able to attend, you can access all of the documents below to get caught up. All of the recommendations were approved including new members and new nominations to serve on ministry teams. Financially, we are doing well and we want to continue to thank the congregation for their faithful and selfless giving.

Other Ministry Updates: 
- Our newly formed food pantry is taking shape, and we are beginning to see quite a bit of use from it already! 
- Our Children's Church program is growing with kids & teachers! 
- We are planning some great things for the Summer & Fall!
