Meanwhile India produced strong runs in the 60m and 150m, but saved her best for the long jump where she broke the 3m barrier for the first time to take U11 bronze in a large field.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have recently been succesful in two fundraising drivers. We have secured £1000 from R.W.Mann, and also £1000 from Tesco Community Grants. This funding will go towards training equipment for our juniors. A huge thanks to everyone who put their little blue tokens in the Team Blyth box at Tesco's, but most of all a HUGE thank you to Clair Southern who set-up these funding applications.

MASSIVE PLEA FOR HELP FROM OUR PARENTS & FAMILY MEMBERS
Athletics can only run thanks to the support of volunteers. One thing we are desperately short of is FIELD OFFICIALS. These are volunteers who can help run field events at T&F comps, in particular the NEYDL. As a participating club, we are required by the rules to provided qualified officials at NEYDL events, something we have struggled to do last year. This year, if we are unable to fulfill our obligation to provide officials, we will not only lose points, but also we will be limited in the numbers of athletes we can enter into field events. This is something that we cannot allow to happen.
If you wish to consider starting on the officiating journey, then please know that you will have the full support of the club and all fees will be paid in full by the club. Officials receive expenses, and have opportunities to progress if the ambition is there. Officials from Blyth have recently been in action at World-Class Diamond League events, and will testify that it is the most rewarding experience.
