Keeping the 19 Children and 2 Teachers of Uvalde Close to our Hearts
Sue Frederick, Robb Elementary School, Uvalde, TX

Every mom and dad I know…

Would’ve stormed that room, crushed the shooter, taken a bullet – to save our babies. Every mom and dad I know is hurting right now, understands deeply what these newly grieving Texas parents will feel in the days and weeks to come. We walk the journey with them; we hold them as they weep; we wipe their tears. We know this pain too well…

We, who’ve walked the path of loss, are the carriers of light for others. We understand grief. We understand that these moms and dads will fall to their knees and cry out for understanding; will demand that their babies lift them to be with them in the unknown, to the place we call death - but we the grievers know is “home.”

We also understand that their baby angels are already soaring in the realms of unconditional love; that they’re welcomed by Morgan, Devon, Tyler and all the beautiful children who’ve lifted from this earthly realm before; that divine beings wrap them in light the moment they cross into the invisible.

We understand that these ancient wise souls see this experience differently than we do. They see it from the eyes of enlightened wisdom even when we cannot. They are not in pain. We are.

We honor the souls of these brave children whose deaths will help shift our consciousness here on earth; wake us up to a higher understanding of who we are and why we walk this painful earthly realm - to learn the higher lesson of love – even in the midst of darkest pain.

We understand our departed comfort us even when grief keeps us from feeling that comfort; keeps us from seeing signs or hearing their voices.

But we are still here. We still walk in this dense heavy realm of unconsciousness. This moment in time triggers our grief; brings us back to our own losses; outrages us, and brings us to our knees in despair.

That’s okay. It’s okay to feel this pain; to feel outrage. That’s the purpose of this human journey – to feel it and know it deeply; to surrender to the lessons of loss; to understand that love and compassion are the only answers; that each moment of heart break holds a moment of awakening; that only the brave agree to such loss; that we carry the light of healing for others. That we are here to awaken to our divinity.

Feel the grief, fall to your knees, ask your departed to help - because they want to help; they want to lift us up; to ease our journeys. But they also know that we are here as soldiers of wisdom – speaking out and standing up for our feelings – that we have to feel it to heal it.

If you’re triggered right now – know that you walk in the light of higher consciousness; that your beloved child is part of this grand agreement to shift awareness here on earth. And that you – brave beloved moms and dads – are surrounded by unconditional love from both sides now - the human and the divine.

The children are alright. We are the ones in pain. Turn to someone and comfort them. Lift them from their grief with your divine spark of love and light. Offer to help. Stand in your truth. Allow your wisdom to shine. YOU are on purpose.

And so is this moment…

Validation Stories from Parents Just Like Us:
Deb Johnson-McNutt's validation from her son, Alan, through Lisa Wilcoxson

Deb's son Alan, Lisa Wilcoxson, Crab feast at beach, Getting ready for Alan’s birthday meal, Loft mountain bluff; remembering our times with Alan, the frog T-shirts

Mother’s Day HPH chat with Lisa Wilcoxson & Irene Vouavalides
5/08/22

So many of us gathered on FB live and Zoom on Mother’s Day, to gain some solace from each other as we are missing the physical presence of our beloved children.  We all started with a peaceful group meditation.  I felt a beautiful feeling of connectedness amongst those gathered.

Lisa Wilcoxson, a medium and also a shining light parent herself, selflessly gave a handful of people messages from our loved ones.  We were instructed to wait to see if the first two or three clues from Spirit resonated with us before claiming the message as ours, as often clues can piggyback or resonate with more than one person.  The first clue in this particular message came from a young man in spirit.

The clue or message was: (crab legs). It is significant, Lisa said... and maybe someone was having them today?  Second clue: a (frog), more than just a real frog... made out of material?  Third clue:  (Tin cans) being tied to a car.  A wedding?  No, he’s saying it was seen on TV.

Now I was on the edge of my seat and raised my chat hand.  All three clues were definitely from my son, Alan.

(CRAB LEGS): we had them for his birthday dinner at the beach every year.  He loved that everyone was around a newspaper covered table feasting outdoors on crab.

(FROG):  We went camping many summers with our family and with his cousins, in Loft Mtn. VA.
A recent trip to there,   and while we’re all sitting by the campfire late at night, Alan nonchalantly states... “There’s a frog on my arm”.  Sure enough the flashlight illuminated this tiny frog.  After Alan died, we went back to Loft Mtn. with some of his ashes and forget-me-not seeds to scatter around his favorite mountain bluff.  His cousins had gotten long sleeve t-shirts made for all of us to wear. The shirts had a frog detail on the sleeve!

(TIN CANS): I had watched a movie the night before, and the groom character put tin cans on the back of an old jalopy. 😮

There were other messages after those,  that validated that Alan has been with me and hearing me talk to him.

The elation I felt from Alan’s presence that day and assuring me he’s with me at all times, is a Shining Light moment I will not forget.

And...Guess what?  My husband immediately went and got us some crab legs.  Actually, I’m not a real fan...the fishy smell...and so much work for shredded pieces of crab to extract.) It’s funny because, one of the last messages through Lisa was, that he was relaying that crab legs are HIS favorite, and it IS just like him to cook or recommend me a dinner that HE likes.  This statement is so like Alan, for sure❣️

Well, Alan came through at dinner that night, as It was my best experience.  For the first time ever, I had whole pieces of crabmeat come out.  I high-fived him and thanked him for making  Mother’s Day 2022 a memorable one. 💖💫💓

Melissa Joyce's's Validation from her son Kellen through Suzanne Giesemann
Melissa's son Kellen, Suzanne Giesemann

I want to celebrate and share some of the messages and evidence I received from my son Kellen, in spirit, during a recent reading with spiritual medium and teacher Suzanne Giesemann.

During our reading, Suzanne shared, "There is very much a feeling of him wanting to help others.”  This was very true of Kellen, especially in the last two years of his life.   I’m delighted to share these bits of evidence from my reading with Suzanne as a way to honor and continue Kellen’s legacy of helping others.

Suzanne brought through so many beautiful pieces of evidence and described Kellen’s personality and qualities that made him unique.

From the very start of the reading there was an immediate recognition that Suzanne was connecting with Kellen.  She described him “bursting through a banner like when you see a football team coming onto the field and that he may have done something like that.”  "It also comes with a Mighty Mouse or Superman feeling of the t-shirt with the big “S”on the front.” Kellen had just such an experience.  A friend of ours who knew he was going through cancer treatment reached out and shared that she had a connection with the Seattle Seahawks and could arrange for him to be an honorary team captain for one of their games where he would go on the field and participate in the coin toss.  We have a lot photos from this day and a large one of Kellen with several of the players hanging on the wall in his former bedroom.  The superman reference is also significant as Kellen had a Superman logo t-shirt that he wore and we have a picture of him wearing it.

Suzanne described Kellen with zing, zing energy and suggested he was “all over the place at times. ” She indicated that he might have had ADD or ADHD.  Her specific portrayal described Kellen to a T. He moved through life quickly and had been diagnosed with ADHD.

Kellen showed Suzanne a snake coiling around an arm that referenced a specific memory from a trip we took together.  Kellen was invited to be part of the show at a wildlife park we visited and was given a snake to hold.  I do not like snakes and quickly ran to the other side of the park to stay far away from the snake.  It’s one of those memories we laugh and talk about.   Kellen had a great sense of humor so I am not surprised he brought through this image.

Suzanne also shared some remarkable bits of evidence from Kellen that showed his recognition of both a decision we made and a gift we received after his passing.

Suzanne:  “He just pointed at my eyes.  I have the briefest feeling, at the risk of being wrong, I’m going to just say everything.  You may have donated his eyes?  He's drawing his eyes to my attention.”

“Wow!” Yes, we did!”  I replied.

He went on to show her a big thumbs up and told her he looks in on the person who got his eyes.  "There is a feeling you don’t know who that is (also correct) and the snag (things spirit can use to get our attention) was just five minutes before this reading I wrote about the eye as the bridge to the soul, your son just laughed and said "I don’t need those eyes Mom, I see you just fine.”"

This was a stunning piece of evidence because this had been a heart wrenching decision my husband and I made together after Kellen passed.  What an incredible gift for Kellen to acknowledge and express his awareness and approval of our decision!

Kellen also showed Suzanne a drawing and told her, "Somebody drew a picture of him for you is how it feels.”  I replied, “Yes, someone did!”  A dear friend of Kellen’s gifted us a sketch she made of him a few years after he passed.

Toward the end of the reading, Suzanne brought through more evidence of Kellen’s love of humor.   Suzanne shared, "This one is bizarre, but he just put the image of a chicken in my mind, and he’s laughing and clucking.  This may be related to a sports team.”  This sounded familiar to me as he played on an ultimate frisbee team in grade school, and I remember he and his teammates came up with a silly name for the team.  After the reading, I reached out to his former coach, who confirmed the players named the team the CHICKEN WARRIORS!!!!!  BRAVO Kellen and Suzanne!!!  The other bit of magic relates to Kellen’s name.  We chose his name because it is an Irish name that means ‘Mighty Warrior.’  We always told him he lived up to his name, so it was heartwarming how he combined his name and humor to bring through ‘The Chicken Warriors.’  Another piece of remarkable evidence of connection with my sweet and funny boy.

My heart is bursting with joy and gratitude!  Thank you Suzanne for all the extraordinary evidence and connection with my chicken warrior angel Kellen!

Would you like to share a story of validation or healing with other Parents? We are all able to heal when we share personal stories about our children with others.  Moreover, everyone benefits from the validations that we receive from our children.  We love to hear about them!  If you have a story that you would like to share about your child, please let us know and we will include it in a future newsletter.  Please send it to Elizabeth Boisson at elizabeth@helpingparentsheal.org (Due to space limitations, please be sure it is no longer than 500-600 words.)

Reassuring Words from our Children from Evidential Medium and Shining Light Parent Lisa Wilcoxson
Michael, Lisa and Anthony

A beloved Mom posted yesterday that she had just received her child’s ashes. She said, ‘this wasn’t in the handbook.’  Phew. We all get that.  I was just told, in response to my comment on her post, that it could perhaps be a helpful post by itself. So, I’m copying it here. My heart loves all of us, and especially our beautiful children.

In response to Francis, and at the request of Leila, I offer these words…(If the parents of these readings wish to identify themselves, of course you can-I will not. Your children are divine shining lights—they all are.)
***
Dearest most precious mama Francis, I know your broken heart. When my first son transcended, I buried his body in a gorgeous casket with everything he loved. I couldn’t stand that my child was buried. Then when my second son transcended, I immediately said, “I want him cremated.” Then I couldn’t stand that he was cremated. I then realized, there is just no good way to do this. I’m only telling you this so you know I completely understand your broken heart.

BUT BUT BUT…As a medium, I MUST tell you how many times I have had children show me they are NOT those bodies, NOT in those caskets, not those ashes!
Just day before yesterday a young man came to me in the very beginning of the reading sitting on his mom’s dresser, very casually, swinging his legs. She said that was where his urn was. I told her, “He is NOT in the urn, he is sitting right by you on the dresser.” She was on her bed.

Another young man showed me his boot print.  He then showed me a heart necklace hanging on the boot and said she had the necklace. She pulled the necklace out from under her shirt-it had his ashes. He said, “Mom, those ashes are where I’ve been-like my boot print. It’s not me.” I’ve had at least two children in readings go to their urns and pick them up and shake them. I had a beautiful young man show me how he stood behind his Mom with his head on her shoulder and arms around her waist as they both looked at his body.

My boys are NOT in the grave or in the ashes. Again, I know your heart is crushed right now, but please please stay here with all of us until you find your legs again, because in a way you have just been knocked out of your body as well.

One day you will know what to do. One day you may take 38 trips to 38 places special to your child and sprinkle a bit of those ashes, KNOWING he is going with you and seeing EVIDENCE that he is still alive in your life and mostly, in your heart. We did and it was spectacular.
ALL my love to you. Please remember to breathe. ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Dr. Mark Pitstick, Author of 'Soul Proof'Mark Pitstick and his book 'Soul Proof'

Evolved Souls Don’t Need Long Earthly Lives
June 2022
by Mark Pitstick, MA, DC

To all parents, I am very sorry about the death of your child’s human form.  However, I’m glad you are learning how to heal and transform.  Six key understandings to making that shift are:

     1. Over 99.9% of who and what your child “was” is still alive in the next phase of life.  See articles #1 and 60 at
SoulProof.com for a review of the scientific and clinical evidence.
     2. Only his earthly body died.  Everything else continues – the love, energy, sense of humor, memory, personality, energetic body, and much moreReally knowing this is a key to healing.
     3. She is happy, peaceful, loving, and enthusiastic – and wants you to be that way now too.
     4. You will see him when you pass on and can enjoy a different kind of relationship now.  (To learn more about how you can do this, see article #9
Visit With ‘Departed’ Loved Ones Now)
     5. You can choose to transmute your grief into a spiritually transformative experience that
powerfully improves your life and blesses others.
     6. You can heal and increase the gifts from his life by lovingly serving others.

Bereaved parents understandably feel much pain, sadness, anger, guilt, and other lower energy emotions.   No one could or should ever judge that.  However, many parents have learned to emphasize #1 – 6 above and enjoy life again.  They have journeyed – one step at a time – FROM bereaved parents TO shining light parents.

Shining light parents have sad feeling too at times, but they choose to focus – as much as possible – on appreciation for great times and memories, realization they will see their child again, and transformation by finding the silver linings.  They resolve to make the world a better place in honor of their children by creating more meaning to their life and passing.

You can do the same.  It’s not easy and it doesn’t happen overnight, but it is possible with small steps day by day.  To learn more, see article #2 at SoulProof.com.  Here are five action steps . . .

  • Attend local and online Helping Parents Heal meetings

  • Contact The Caring Listeners to talk with at no charge

  • Read free articles at SoulProof.com and take relevant action steps

  • Listen to free Radio Shows at SoulProof.com and our answers to life’s toughest questions including “Why do children die?”

  • Lean on others as needed.  Later, when you are doing better, you can help others.
Q: My husband and I would love to take part in your Facilitated After-Death Contact session at the conference but can't attend.  How can we use it and does it really work?  It would be so wonderful to get a sign – even a small one – from our son.  Thank you.

A: I am very sorry for what you have gone through.  But I applaud you for taking the high road and seeking continued communication with your son.

The Facilitated After-Death Communication Technique (FADC) has worked very well for many grieving parents.  A 'show of hands' poll after my presentations to local and online groups shows that about 75% of them have a meaningful visit with their child who has changed worlds.  Some parents hear telepathic conversations and see their child in their minds' eye.  Others feel their hair being stroked or hand being held.  Some parents report a strong knowing that their child was indeed present.

These contacts are, needless to say, invaluable.  They can make the difference between having a breakdown and a breakthrough after a child graduates from earth school.  You can learn more about my technique by reading article #9: Visiting 'Departed' Loved Ones Now.

You can watch a recorded session from an online HPH presentation on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAVBi8gLFIE&t=439s

Some parents say their FADC session birthed a new stage in their relationship with their child.  It's like the moment in the movie 'Ghost' where Demi Moore's character saw the penny floating in the air.  She shifted FROM anger, sadness, and disbelief in life after death TO a deep knowing that her 'deceased' loved one was indeed alive, well, and very near.  I hope this technique has a similar result for you and your family.

To you and all parents and family members, please email me at mark@soulproof.com if you have any questions or difficulties with this technique and I'll respond asap.

Hugs, love, and blessings as you increasingly heal, transform, and let it shine!
~Mark

Spreading Sunshine by LeAnn Hull
Clay, Andy and LeAnn Hull

Spreading Sunshine

Who wouldn’t like a little sunshine in their life after the worst storm crashes in and darkens your world? Isn’t that how most of us feel after our child moves to Heaven? If this has recently happened to you, or maybe you just need a little pick me up, I hope to share some of my Andy’s Sunshine with you and brighten your day.

For those of you who don’t know Andy, he was such a bright light to so many before he completed suicide at the age of 16. To many of his friends and coaches, he was known as Sunshine because of his infectious sense of humor and joy. Even now he continues to spread his Sunshine through a variety of signs and validations. I love getting those little gifts of communication from him in the most random ways. Like just today, I got three pennies right as I exited my truck. I will tell you in another chat why I got three, but without a doubt, I knew they were from him.

In addition, I quickly enlisted to carry a torch for him to bring rays of hope and joy bursting into the lives of anyone who I could impact. I know, you are wondering if joy is even possible? Will you ever feel anything other than heartache and sorrow? Well, I am here to help you take off your sunglasses and let the light flow back in.

While it has been 9 ½ years since Andy moved to Heaven, some days it seems like it was just yesterday. I have found that time is a funny thing and can be a friend or a foe. But, for the most part, I no longer feel like I am grieving. Yes, there are times when I feel sad and of course I always miss and wish Andy were still here in the physical. You might label me as a seasoned parent who has pushed through the pain to become a shining light.

Initially, I chose to Sunshine for my other children and grandchildren who looked to me for comfort and assurance that life would go on for them. Soon after that, I chose to Sunshine for Andy’s friends who needed to know that they could find their way past this shocking tragedy and maybe, just maybe they would see some meaning and purpose to this loss.

Eventually, I chose to Sunshine for me.

It may feel like your world is filled with clouds, but rest assured, the sun will come out again. I used to always tell my kids that you will become who you hang out with and there is so much truth to that statement. The good news is that you are in the right place surrounded by so many shining light parents who just want to lift you out of the pit of despair. Let them! In time, you too will shine so that you can help someone else who needs you.

Just wait until I share with you about my two visits to Heaven in the coming posts!!

Award winning entrepreneur, author, lecturer and recipient of a McGill University Dobson Fellow, Andrea graduated from McGill University in 1982 and from the University of Victoria in 2018 with a Master’s in Education. Since Andrea’s near death experience in 1991, she has been practicing meditation and was introduced to Sound Meditation a decade later.

Andrea’s daughter Chloe passed into Spirit in 2016. Six weeks later, Andrea began a dialogue with Chloe after hearing Chloe’s words 'Mom, you are so easy to find it's a joke'. For five months they exchanged many conversations which became Andrea’s first book ‘Conversations with Chloe: A Mother and Daughter Dialogue Across the Veil’. Her second book, ‘Magical Thinking…not!’ is a collection of conversations with bereaved parents about their journeys of love and loss and the signs they receive from their children in spirit. Andrea is a sound healing practitioner helping people to reduce anxiety and experience deep peace. To receive her books as a free pdf and the zoom links to her sound sessions, write to acourey1212@gmail.com.

Helping Parents Heal - NYC/Westchester holds weekly Zoom Meetings!
Colleen Byrne

My name is Colleen Byrne and our youngest son Denis (DJ) passed away on October 4, 2019.  He transitioned after a short illness that affected his respiratory system.  DJ began sending signs right away and came through to us via a medium Maura Geist one month after his passing.  I chat with DJ daily and he often comes to me with music and butterflies.   I know that helping others on this journey is where I am meant to be.  Our group covers NYC and Westchester counties.

Meetings are held by Zoom for the time being, on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm EST. Please contact  Colleen for more information at:
hphnycwestchester@gmail.com

Irene Vouvalides & Kathy MacMannis hold a Monthly Chat Room!

We have a topic of discussion every week and have wonderful, open, honest and poignant sessions with members of HPH from around the world. We have formed new friendships, gotten to know our children in spirit and each other and we welcome you to join us.

Sending much love, Irene and Kathy

Helping Parents Heal - Meditation Group
David, Davey and Allison Alison

Please join David and Allison Alison of the Helping Parents Heal Online Meditation Group, every third Wednesday of the month at 9 pm EST!

Allison and David are the parents of three amazing adult children: Jocelyn, Davey and Julia. Davey transitioned on July 20, 2016; he was involved in a solo car accident at the age of 24. This is documented along with their journey in David’s book Finding Davey. We felt Davey right away and knew he was not gone. We found out about HPH and it has helped us heal and connect with other patents. We enjoy talking about the signs we get from Davey and hearing about other parents’ experiences. Being a “Shining Light Parent” has helped us find meaning. Now with the HPH Meditation group, we would like to help others through positive energy and love with the help of our children on the other side.  Please click
