WE Bike NYC Upcoming Events

Brooklyn Bike Tour with YPT - NYC and NYC DOT
Saturday, June 4, 2022
1:00pm (wheels down at 1:30pm)
Foley Square (Lafayette St. & Centre St.), Manhattan
RSVP

Ride along with Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT-NYC) and WE Bike NYC for an awesome and informative bike ride through Brooklyn!

WE will be joined by staff from NYC DOT and members of the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council, who manage the Vanderbilt Ave Open Street.

WE will begin this ~4 mile ride at Foley Square in Manhattan and ride over the dedicated bike lane on the Brooklyn Bridge. The ride will continue through Brooklyn and will end at the hugely successful Vanderbilt Ave Open Street. Along the way, WE will gain insights into the implementation of bicycle infrastructure from conception to fruition.

After the ride, stick around to join fellow YPT and WE Bike NYC members for drinks and snacks on Vanderbilt Ave.

What to bring: Helmet, mask, sunscreen, money for food/drinks, full water bottles.

Note: This is an all-gender ride open to bicyclists of all experience levels. Helmets are required.

WE Bike to the New York Botanical Garden
Sunday, June 12, 2022
10am (wheels down at 10:30am)
Columbus Circle (Central Park), in front of the USS Maine Monument

RSVP

Join WE Bike NYC for a fun ride to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx!  WE'll start at Columbus Circle, ride through Central Park, cross into the Bronx via Randall's Island, and then ride up to the garden. Total distance is about 11 miles, including some riding in traffic.

WE'll end the ride at the garden's bike racks. You're welcome to come explore the garden and picnic with us. WE are excited that WE are able to provide a *limited* number of FREE tickets to the garden. Because of this perk, please only register if you are definitely able to attend, and if you are no longer able to attend please let us know.

Bring water, your helmet, a bike lock, and (optionally) a picnic lunch or money to purchase lunch at the garden cafe.

Note: This event is for women, female-identifying and gender nonconforming people only.
