Dear brothers and sisters

As Jonty has now begun his Extended Ministerial Development Leave (Sabbatical), I (Anna) will be sending updates between now and the end of August. We began a new sermon series in Acts last week, which will keep us going until September, and the usual pattern of services will continue over the summer (10.45  am every week, with Junior Church until the schools break up, and 6 pm on the first Sunday of each month, including next Sunday).

Please note that the prayer meeting has moved to the second Thursday of the month for June to avoid clashing with the bank holidays – so don’t come this Thursday, but do come next Thursday (9th) to join with us in bringing our church and our world before our loving heavenly Father.

With the Platinum Jubilee approaching, I'm sure lots of us will be spending time with friends and family, some of whom don't know Jesus. Roger Carswell (who many of us met when he came to do the interviews for our Life '22 events week in April) has written a short booklet for the occasion, using examples from her speeches where she talks of faith in God, and the forgiveness only found in Jesus. We've got some copies in church, so do pick up a few to give to friends/family over the bank holiday.

See you tomorrow! God bless you,

Anna

Here is a repeat of some notices previously announced.

Miniclub has re-launched for babies and toddlers and their grown-ups. Do invite anyone you know in those categories: it’s in the Miller Room on Wednesdays 9-11am in school term time, and have a word with Becky if you feel you might be helpful setting up, serving refreshments (organised by Sylvia), preparing crafts, telling bible stories or chatting with the mums and toddlers.

We look forward to the day when we hear the church bells on a Sunday morning calling the parish to worship. More ringers are needed to join the team before that can happen. Practice is 7.30-8.30pm Mondays; some experience is needed to ring in Bathampton but if you are a complete novice Candy will be pleased to take you along to a Bath church for training. Life 22: If you missed the interviews and talks or would like to hear them again, they are now available on our YouTube channel via the Life 22 tab at the right hand end of the menu on our website.
