Slow Crawl is off to a Sloooooow Start, As it Should Be!
How Are You Crawling?
You have all summer to visit the 32 shops on the crawl, whether in-person or online. All the Slow Yarn Crawl stores have been setting up fabulous events and planning a whole summer of fun. The crawl ends on September 5, so you still have plenty of time!
Don't forget your passport entitles you to:
- at least one pattern at each shop you visit
- entry into the shop's prizes
- possible entry into the regional and grand prize baskets if you make it to all of the shops!

Waves at Kalaloch Beach by MarySue French (available Friday)
Knitted Pattern: Reminiscent of the Pacific Ocean Waves on Kalaloch Beach – gently coming in and going out, but swirling around and comforting my ankles as I sink into the sand. The cowl will surround your neck with softness and warmth.
The Estrella Cowl by Debbie De Luna (Available Friday)
Crochet Pattern: Star stitch is always a favorite, fun to make and gives a lovely texture that keeps out the fall and winter drafts. It is a one-sided stitch but the back side also has a nice look and texture. I found this particular version of a stitch in a vintage crochet book that I inherited from my great grandmother and modified it slightly. I always think of her while crocheting as she is the one who patiently taught me when I was very young. You will make a rectangle that is 22” x 5”, although size is not incredibly important depending upon the size you wish to make.
