Warm Weather Riding Tips!
While we often think of winter as the time to take extra caution while on the bike, it's just as important to do so during warmer weather. Here are five tips to keep you riding with health and happiness even as the temperatures rise:
  1. Bring Water - Bring more water than you think you need in the event your trip takes longer than expected.
  2. Slow Your Pace - The harder you ride the faster your body will warm-up, sweat, and drain your energy. Give yourself extra time to arrive at your destination, and dial your effort back a notch.
  3. Wear Lightweight Clothes - These will keep you breathing easy and enjoying the ride. It's also a good idea to pack a rain jacket just in case the weather changes.
  4. Apply Sunscreen and Wear Sunglasses - Protect your skin and eyes from harmful UV rays. Sunglasses can also help you see on those bright and sunny Nebraska days!
  5. Consider Bike Bags to Carry Your Gear - Removing heavy bags from your back can help you regulate your body's heat and encourage air flow while riding. (And remember BikeLNK bikes are equipped with a front basket to help carry your summer essentials essentials!)
