•   Brookgreen Garden's Vision for Growth

After almost thirty years, Craig Gaulden Davis (CGD) and Brookgreen Gardens reconvened to evaluate the 1990's master plan and look for opportunities to expand programming and service offerings. One exciting result is following through on the original vision to have a Conservatory on Brookgreen’s campus. CGD began working on a design of the new 20,000 sf Conservatory with arched, perforated brick that complements the Moorish design language seen at Atalaya Castle and other garden facilities.
The building will serve as a welcome center and event venue featuring a large Great Hall, a glass structured butterfly garden, catering kitchen, coffee shop, exhibition greenhouse, and a terrace overlooking Fountain of the Muses.
•   And Then a Garden Party...

We joined Brookgreen Gardens as they launched their capital campaign, Campaign for the Next Generation, with a delightful garden party. The fundraising efforts will expand the National Historic Landmark's offerings through a new contemporary conservatory, new art facilities, expanded Lowcountry history exhibits, and a new exhibit in the Lowcountry Zoo.

•   New Team Members

We are excited to welcome Cole Johns to the Interior Design team!

Cole joins CGD with 7 years of interior design experience in healthcare and senior living with a strong background in graphics and branding. With a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Minor in Fine Arts from Anderson University, he excels at 3D visualization and storytelling that bridges the gap from concept to reality.
“We are thrilled to welcome new, established design professionals who bring talent and passion to not only our team but also our clients and the communities we serve. As we grow as a firm our designs are enriched by new perspectives, ideas, and experiences.”
– Andrea Kuhfuss, Director of Interiors
•   CGD Joins Ten at the Top

We value the people who will benefit from the spaces we create. One way we demonstrate this value is by engaging in our communities personally and professionally. Craig Gaulden Davis sponsors and engages in the work of Ten at the Top (TATT) because we are devoted to uplifting communities through design.
New TATT Board Member
Crystal Ball O'Connor, Ph.D., our education specialist, focuses on the best ways our spaces can support student learning and success. After completing 20 years of outstanding leadership and service on the Greenville County School Board, she began her three-year tenure as a member of the Ten at the Top Board. Ten at the Top brings Upstate leaders together to improve the quality of life in the ten counties comprising the Upstate. Crystal brings the perspective that education is at the heart of a thriving community.
