This week Google announced that they are releasing a broad core algorithm update. Named the May 2022 core update, it was 25th May 2022 and will take roughly two weeks to fully roll out.
Core updates are designed to make search results more relevant for users.
The last Google core update was in November 2021 and those who have been working strongly on their site since then may start to see some prominent advances in their search rankings.
Any site that has been left inactive may start to see themselves surpassed by sites with more suitable content.
Your rankings may fluctuate during that time, so don’t be startled if you detect differences right away.
Google usually confirms via Twitter when the update has completed rolling out, this will then be the time to commence any investigations.
