Protocols for Exposure and Positive COVID-19 cases
- Students/Staff will remain in school unless they develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19.
- We will notify "groups" of exposed students/staff (e.g. classmates, cohorts, etc.) rather than contact tracing to identify individual "close contacts."
- Notifications will be provided to all individuals considered exposed regardless of vaccination status.
- Exposed students/staff, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, should get tested for COVID-19 within 3-5 days after last exposure.
- Exposed students/staff may continue to take part in all aspects of schooling including sports and extracurricular activities, unless they develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19. Positive test results must be reported to the school.
- Exposed students/staff should wear a mask, especially for the next 10 days.
- Any students or staff who develop symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home until fever free for 24 hours AND symptoms are improving, AND have negative test results.
- Any students or staff who test positive for COVID-19 must stay home for at least 5 days after symptoms start or after a positive test.
- Isolation can end after day 5* IF fever-free with no (or resolving) symptoms AND a negative COVID-19 test taken on day 5 or later.
- If students or staff continue to test positive on day 5 or later, or if symptoms are not resolving, isolate through day 10, continuing until fever-free.
*Confirm with the front office before returning to school
