The Ekklesia DNA at Harvest Valley Pt. 4
As we seek to understand more about what the Lord is saying and doing regarding building His Ekklesia in this region, we must take responsibility for those things that He has given us. We are called to establish the Kingdom of Heaven where the Gates of Hell have been entrenched. Let’s own who we are as a church as we begin to move into our spheres of influence. Our DNA establishes our foundations for living as Christ-followers.
The Bible is the Handbook for Life
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Luke 21:33 ESV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Ps. 119:105 ESV)
PERSONAL LIFE: marriage, child rearing, personal finance, sin, and forgiveness.
SOCIAL AND GOVERNMENT LIFE: systemic poverty and justice, not the type of government but the role of civil authority.
CHURCH LIFE: what Jesus had in mind when He created the church.
Some people say, "Yes, we believe In the Bible, but when it comes to the issues of life - how to discipline our children, how to build our marriages, discussions on abortion or homosexuality, how to build the church-we need to use our own common sense in this modern context."
The Bible will be around long after our good ideas are gone. This doesn't mean we can't use our brains. This means we begin here with the Bible!
We believe that the Holy Bible as stated by Jesus, the Apostles, and the early Christian Fathers as the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, written by many authors, and without error. Though there are many other contemporary writings that may be useful in each era of history, we believe that God preserved His words carefully for all generations.

Ministry Updates and Prayer Needs:
- Thank you to Jeanne Brown for serving faithfully in Kid's Church this last year. Lois, Mycah, and Mika are all coming alongside her in this next season as we develop our Kid's Ministry.
- Pray for our mission organizations, their families, and their provision. Celebrate Recovery Nicaragua, Freedom House, Helping Hands Healing Hearts, IdaHope Families.
- Reminder to pray for and reach out to Jim and Kathy Kubiak as they are embarking on their next season in ministry.
