Have you been thinking about your clinical or professional development?
Applications for Health Workforce Scholarship grants open tomorrow.

If you are a medical, nursing or allied health professional working in rural South Australia, grants of up to $10,000 are available for training or study to increase your clinical skills and scope of practice.

The grant can be used to cover the cost of course fees and may also include the cost of travel and accommodation required to undertake the training.

This round will only be open for a short time, so be sure to get your application in.
Applications Close: 5pm Monday 20 June.

RESP APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW

Applications are now open for eligible GPs and GP Registrars to apply for a place on one of our RESP Critical Care and Procedural Courses.

There will be seven RESP events between June and December 2022; and applications are now open for the July to September courses:

  • RESP Paediatrics: Friday, 8 July 2022 - Saturday, 9 July 2022
  • RESP Critical Care: Friday, 19 August 2022 - Saturday, 20 August 2022
  • RESP Anaesthetics: Friday, 2 September 2022 - Saturday, 3 September 2022
  • RESP Critical Care: Friday, 9 September 2022 - Saturday, 10 September 2022

Running weekly for eight weeks, the RDWA Learn Rural Pain Education Series provides rural health practitioners with the latest evidence-based pain assessment and treatment strategies.

This webinar will be looking at:

  • Facilitating a patient’s reengagement in meaningful activities

  • The ‘sweet-zone’ - the zone that maximises positive biopsychosocial adaptation for improved quality of life

HEALTH WORKFORCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Krupa Kadakia

As a Physiotherapist in Port Augusta, Krupa received a grant through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program to assist her to complete the DMA Clinical Pilates course. This grant provided financial support for the costs of the course and the associated travel and accommodation. Completing this course has increased her skills in the management and treatment of injuries.
 
"I'm now able to identify the potential causes and avoid any further structural damage, making management plans more individually based and more functional. This course has provided me with a better understanding of movement patterns and motor control, and different techniques for helping an individual control their pains and reach their goals.”
