About today’s guessties…

Ronit and Vida met when they were both Nike employees and have always been into fitness and health. Vida always loved health because her mom and sister constantly traded wellness tips and new healthy foods to try. About 10 years ago, Ronit learned about functional medicine and became hooked. Once she started to think about everything in terms of the root cause, it was hard not to think that way. Since then, she has taken a functional medicine course with Chris Kresser and has worked in the industry alongside Dr. Mark Hyman (also an adviser for WeNatal!). Through work, experience and passion, she learned so much about the wellness industry and loves sharing her knowledge.

Their favorite wellness ritual? SPA, SPA and more SPAs please! This is something we haven't done in a while (due to COVID), but we love Korean spas. The calm atmosphere helps to remove ourselves from the hectic day to day and just relax. There’s nothing better than getting away with your best friend, getting an incredible scrub and massage, and feeling like a new person (with baby soft skin)!

What are you working on? WeNatal, our baby, just launched about a month ago after two years of incredible passion and hard work of furthering our mission to create healthy little humans. We founded this company after having miscarriages a week apart and realizing that while we were trying to do everything right, we weren’t paying attention to our husbands’ health! They are 50% of the equation and yet no one is talking about it. We set out to make the best possible prenatal supplement for her AND HIM! And pregnancy is so much more than a physical journey, so we partnered with an amazing author to create a guided journal to give couples the best support for mind and body.

What does accessible/affordable wellness mean to you? Everyone should have access to the best of wellness at an affordable price. This is why we were committed to keeping WeNatal under $50 per person each month. All of the high-quality supplements we were taking were hard to find and $80-$120 per month. From our personal experience, we learned that the prenatal industry needed some innovation because the more affordable prenatals use low-quality ingredients or are lacking key ingredients all together. We wanted to create a prenatal that was premium but also affordable.

Anything Osea: But specifically their body oil. My go-to gift for friends (and myself) is Osea’s Undaria Algae Body Oil. As a mom I rarely have time for myself, but this oil makes me feel like I just left the spa every time I shower. It smells so good and keeps my skin hydrated. -Ronit

💰 Starting at $12 on Osea

Superfood blends for hormonal imbalances: Our friends at Beeya Wellness launched a seed cycling company that uses a food-based approach to balance hormones and help women tackle issues that can come with PMS, postpartum, peri-menopause, and menopause. It works in two phases during your cycle to optimize your changing estrogen and progesterone levels. The blends use natural ingredients like flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and chamomile powder. You can mix it into your smoothie, but my favorite way to consume it is by adding it to salads. It tastes so good and it works! After a couple of months on Beeya, my cycle adjusted and I no longer suffered from hormonal issues. I personally used it to regulate my postpartum menstrual cycle. -Ronit

💰 $55 a month on Beeya Wellness

Elvie breast pump: When my little one Emma was born, Eden was 4.5 years old. My friend Rachel gifted me the Elvie Pump, which lets you pump anywhere, and it was a portable godsend. There was no possible way I could sit down and pump because I was always on the go or running around with Eden. TIP: You don't need to get both Elvies, you can just get one and switch it from side to side. -Ronit

💰 $299.99 on Elvie

Alison Roman’s spiced chickpea stew: My family is full of chefs and the most stressful thing to me is having them over for dinner and figuring out what to make. I made this spiced chickpea stew with coconut and turmeric for them and I am excited to report back that they were impressed! Yay! -Ronit

💰 FREE to make, prices vary per ingredients

Seasonal self-care subscription boxes: As a busy mom and entrepreneur with two young girls and a full-time career, there is very little time in my day for self-care. When I discovered Vybe Up, I was excited to subscribe and get a curated box of wellness items to remind me to make some time for myself. Some of my favorites are the amethyst crystal infused water bottle, golden milk tea and Vybe Up’s sage and crystals :) -Vida

💰 $53.99 a quarter on Vybe Up

Kelly LeVeque Protein Powder: I’m not a huge meat eater and I love carbs way too much. This means I’m always looking for an easy way to get more protein into my diet. I discovered Kelly’s protein powder and fell in love. It is the healthiest and cleanest version I have found, as it’s 100% grass-fed and has a ton of nutrients. Kelly’s Fab 4 smoothies are the best way to stay nourished as a mom of two! My favorite is the vanilla powder. I usually mix it with almond milk, a bunch of spinach, blueberries, and almond butter. -Vida

💰 $59.99 for the vanilla powder without a subscription on Be Well by Kelly

Original Sunshine bagels: I have hypothyroidism and need to maintain a gluten-free diet. These bagels are a lifesaver. A lot of the time it feels like you have to sacrifice taste to avoid gluten, but this is the first time I felt like the gluten-free version is better than a regular bagel. I love my carbs and love that this brand has made a better version for me and my family to enjoy. They also have an amazing gluten-free flour I use for baking with my girls. Never too early to start teaching the girls to eat healthy. -Vida

💰 $20 for the gluten-free flour on Original Sunshine

Solas red light therapy: Ronit and I went to a wellness event recently and our friend told us about these therapy devices. I never knew that red light and magnetic frequencies may promote recovery and healing. I bought the small portable one and use it on any aches or pains whenever I have a free moment. It also stimulates collagen, and so I used it on my face. It’s one of the more affordable red light therapy options, and I highly recommend it! -Vida

💰 $199 for the Solas Mini on Solas
