WAC Orly 60th Anniversary

Friday, June 3, 2022, marks the 60th anniversary of the tragedy at the Orly Airport in Paris, France, that took the lives of more than 100 patrons and friends of the Atlanta Art Association. This unprecedented loss of the city’s most dedicated arts supporters galvanized Atlanta to create the Memorial Arts Building at the Woodruff Arts Center and carry on their legacy for culture and arts education. June 2022 Capital Projects Update
Two parklets on Spring Street are under construction on the west side between 8th Street and Peachtree Place. Additionally, active construction is expected to continue through July 2022 at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Peachtree Place to build the new public plaza space fronting the Commercial Row buildings. Asst. Chief Darin Schierbaum Tapped to Lead APD as Interim Chief
