The Cupertino Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has voted unequivocally to support Measure G on the June 7 ballot. Quality public education is the bedrock upon which Cupertino is built. As mentioned in the recent Mercury News editorial supporting Measure G, "The Fremont Union High School District has a history of making wise use of taxpayer funds on five of California’s top-rated high schools. Voters should approve Measure G."
FUHSD officials indicated the issuance of the bonds will be timed so that the tax bill increase from Measure G would match the expected decrease in taxes collected from previous bond measures as they are paid off. That means district taxpayers would not see an increase in their bill from the district for supplemental taxes.
