The event includes walking to pick up trash at Pope Park and the surrounding area. Leaving the space better for the environment and people using the space! Come interact with a community passionate about Increasing Nature's Share.

What to bring? - Gloves and plastic bags or buckets for the trash pickup. We will have limited supplies on hand.
- We recommend participants wear closed-toed shoes, sunblock, and a hat.
- Water and reusable water bottle
- Trash Grabber if you have one

Where to meet - We will meet outside of the Pope Park Recreational area at 10:30 am.

Last month, we visited the park and collected 50 pounds of trash with a small group in just a few hours! The park looked much better when we were finished but still had a lot of trash left. Come join us and make a meaningful impact.

We are very excited to be working with the Town of West Hartford and the Department of Public Works at this year's @celebrateweha! and we need help from our community to make it all possible!

Celebrate! West Hartford sees over 40,000 visitors over the two days, and we will need 35 - 40 community volunteers to staff the most high-traffic areas of the event. Right now we only have 7 volunteers signed up and need your help to hit 40.
 
As a volunteer at the event, you will help us guide and educate eventgoers on properly disposing of their waste and interact with eventgoers about the Natural Dividends mission. If waste is disposed of incorrectly, it all ends up being trash. 
 
The work of the volunteers will have a direct, meaningful impact on the sustainability of the event and provide critical information that eventgoers can take home with them. We will provide you with a free Natural Dividends shirt and sign off on community service hours.
