It’s hard for us to believe, but June 27 marks our five year anniversary here at 225 West Main Street. We’re not only having a party to celebrate, but we’ve got an entire summer full of exciting events going on at your beautiful library building. We look forward to seeing you!

Summer Library Challenge

Discover “Oceans of Possibilities” at the library this summer! Our all-ages summer library challenge starts May 31 and runs until August 27. Whether you’re an adult, teen, tween, kid, or even a baby, there’s a special set of reading challenges and activities for you to try out this summer, awesome prizes for you to earn, and fantastic prize drawings to enter.

Sign up for the summer library challenge on our website or download the Beanstack Tracker app to your phone or tablet. We adore the ease of using the website, and we’re equally in love with the app’s ability to just scan a book’s ISBN to log it. For the tech-adverse folks in your life, we’ve got paper versions at the Library, too.

What’s making us happy

Here’s what library staff are looking forward to this summer:

  • Erin, Youth Services Manager: I'm looking forward to Lifest music festival in Oshkosh in July!

  • Jessie, Director: I'm excited about our Hula Hooping Under The Sea program on June 11. Danielle's positive energy is contagious and her hooping skills are really fun to see in action!

  • Karina, Patron Services Manager: I want to try at least one new foraged recipe this summer.

  • Lydia, Youth Services Library Specialist: I'm looking forward to spending my summer evenings reading in the hammock 😎

  • Mela, Outreach Coordinator: I’m looking forward to growing into my new position and being outside gardening.

  • Nancy, Adult Services Library Specialist: I want to start a reading project/personal goal and find a book to enjoy by an author from each of the 50 states or books set in each state. I tend to read a lot of British authors so I'm trying something different. I’m starting off with the new title: Madison Chefs: Stories of Food, Farms and People by Lindsay Christians.

  • Rachel, Adult Services Library Specialist: I am looking forward to camping and spending time with my family "unplugged."

  • Roxanne, Adult Services Library Specialist: This summer I am looking forward to camping with my friends and horses!
