Dozens of things to do for you and your whole family.
THANKS TEACHER!

The end of the school year is near, and we have officially entered cake, pizza, and check-writing season. Yes, it is the delightful time of year when we go from class parties to end-of-season sports celebrations to fundraisers and back again, all while making plans (and writing checks for) summer camps, programs, and activities. It's a whirlwind for sure, and it's easy to find yourself on the eve of the last day of school, standing in front of the gift card kiosk at the grocery store, looking for a teacher's gift.

Now, gift cards are great presents-most teachers agree that they love getting them, but we all know that they could use a little more personality. It takes almost no time to find creative packaging for your card if you start with our list of ideas below. Then, tailor your gift to your teacher's interests and give it a personal touch with a heartfelt note from your summer-bound student. Finally, add a gift tag with a punny saying, and you've got the perfect end-of-the-year gift in just about as much time as it takes to drop a gift card into a greeting card.

TO THIS ADD THIS!
Fro Yo or Ice Cream card
-in a summery bucket or with a pair of flip flops
You are the COOLEST teacher!
Movie gift card
-in a popcorn box or with a package of microwave popcorn
To a POP-ular teacher!
Office Supply store gift card
-with a package of markers
It's been a re-MARK able year!
Donut shop gift card
-with a Starbucks card in a travel mug
DONUT what I would have done if you hadn't been my teacher!
Gift card to Amazon
-in a mason jar surrounded by favorite candy
You are an a-MASON teacher!
Gift card to Starbucks or Coffee Bean
-in a cold cup with tea bags
Thanks for being such a great TEA-cher
Gift card for a department store
-with a scented candle or bouquet of flowers
It's been a SCENT-sational year!
Gift card to Starbucks or Coffee Bean
-in a make-your-own-mug designed by the kids
Thanks a LATTE for all you've done this year!
Gift card for a bookstore
-in a book bag
In my BOOK, you're the best teacher!
Gift card for a manicure
-with nail polish
You deserve a HAND for a great year!
Gift card for Jamba juice or a juice bar
-in a cold cup with a straw
ORANGE you glad it's summer?
Gift card for a cupcake shop
-with a vintage plate and fork
You take the CAKE!
Gift card to a spa
-with a pair of flip flops
It's been a SPA-cial year!
Gift card for a garden center
-tucked into a plant or with some flower seeds
Thanks for helping me GROW this year!

If you know your teacher will be traveling this summer, fill a small zippered tote with an assortment of $5 gift cards to common roadside stops or airport kiosks like Starbucks and McDonald's. Or make a "treat yourself" kit by filling a summery bucket or beachy tote with small gift cards to coffee shops, ice cream, or fro-yo. Then give your teachers a high five for a job well done, and enjoy a great summer!
