What does it mean to count?

Dear Friend,

You can count your change, or count your blessings. You can count on your friends.

We are in the midst of the Sefirat Ha’Omer period, when it is a mitzvah to literally count the 49 days from Pesach until Shavuot, preparing us, the Jewish nation, to receive the Torah on Shavuot.

Counting time reminds us that, well, every moment counts. Every person counts, too. That’s why at Hillel we welcome every young Jewish person who enters our circle, and let them know that no matter what they have been through, they truly matter. They count!

And because we know we can always count on YOU, dear friend, we are counting our blessings!

Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. We wish you a joyful Spring and a Chag Shavuot Sameach.

Rabbi Dov & Shevy Oliver

P.S. In case you’re counting, you’ll notice that the first prize in this year’s Grand Draw raffle has increased 80% from $10,000 to a whopping $18,000! And the ticket price remains just $36.

Stand Up and be Counted!

Be part of Hillel of Rockland’s Grand Draw. You could win $18K, a round trip to Israel for two, or other great prizes!
