Hair, Beauty and Make Up Artistry Taster Event

This month we had a number of S1 school pupils from East Renfrewshire who attended a Hair, Beauty and Make Up Artistry taster session at West College Scotland Paisley campus.

The pupils were treated to various classes with lecturers to learn the ropes of the hair, beauty and make up artistry industry. Many of the pupiles left with a new positive outlook of the industry with the hope to attend college in the future.

Thank you to all of the college staff and students who hosted the brilliant sessions.

"Business Matters in Renfrewshire"
We had a brilliant day at "Business Matters in Renfrewshire" networking event at The Lagoon, in Paisley last week.

It was great to be back at an in person networking event meeting lots of lovely people. We even managed to attend a few of the brilliant seminars throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us. Here's to next year!

Power of Youth Day 2022
Young people make a huge impact in our communities every day. They use their energy, skills and ideas to make positive change in their local areas and beyond, working to shape a better future for everyone. We must support and empower young people to play an even bigger role in shaping their communities and society.

Every year, thousands of peolpe across the UK celebrate Volunteers' Week. On the 6th of June, we're joining in to share the "Power of Youth". At DYW West we believe that it should be the norm for every young person to make a positive difference in their community, and are committed to making that a reality.
