MyBudgets Reminder – Two Fiscal Years Open
The University’s year end is April 30, 2022. (May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022).  There are now two fiscal years open (2021/2022 & 2022/2023).  To determine the unspent balance in your research account you will need to look at both fiscal years and combine the activity.  You can change the fiscal year by selecting the Fiscal Year at the top of the screen and selecting GO. You will need to continue to do this until the year-end process is complete and the unspent balance for April 30, 2022 is transferred forward to the new year.  This transfer of the unspent balance  will occur in early July 2022.  The purchase order information will not carry forward to the new year until the system close is completed.  The system close will occur after the University Board approves the Financial Statements in October.  Contact Margot Ross mross@lakeheadu.ca if you have any questions.

The Office of Research Services and the Faculty of Graduate Studies are seeking your feedback and ideas on ways we can better deliver Research and Innovation Week events to the University community next year.  Whether you attended events this year or not, please take a few moments to complete a 5 minute survey - the link to the survey can be found
here.

In appreciation of your time and ideas, we will enter your name in a draw for a $50 Amazon Gift Card (lakeheadu email required to be eligible).  All Lakehead University faculty, students and staff (excluding VPRI and FGS staff) are eligible to participate. Please complete the survey by May 27, 2022 in order to qualify for the draw.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
