Skagit Kids Read Week and the Get Caught Reading initiative were a tremendous success! Be sure to visit the CMSC Facebook page and SKRW Facebook event page to see all the pictures of people who were Caught Reading... like Skagit Pediatric's Dr. Rick Levine!

Registration for Summer Camps @ CMSC is open! The camp brochure with class descriptions and the link for online registration is on our website! Space is always limited, so sign up quickly!

The Museum will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30. We remember all those who have given their lives in service to our country and thank them and their families for the sacrifices they have made. 

Many thanks to Mary Lou McMeins, for her gift to continue the legacy of Bonnie Anderson. Our Scholarship program is named in honor of Bonnie, and her work over the years to support the children and families in Skagit County.

● FEMA, in partnership with the Washington State Military Department’s Emergency Management Division, has opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Skagit County to help survivors of the November flooding and mudslides. The center is located at Old Sedro-Woolley Library, 802 Ball Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA. Open Monday to Saturday 9am-8pm, Sunday noon-6pm. Click here for details.
Burlington Healthy Communities Coalition has been bringing together youth and adults for over 30 years to support and promote healthy environments and opportunities for all youth to gain skills and receive positive recognition in order to prevent and reduce youth substance use. The BHCC is a partnership of schools, families, and community members representing the diversity of the broader Burlington area. Visit https://burlingtonhcc.org/ to learn more.
Need help paying for childcare? The Emergency Child Care Voucher Program, supported by the Opportunity Council, might be able to help. Parents and caregivers can apply for temporary assistance to help pay for current or past due child care bills and to help alleviate financial crisis.
