Lane students may have more advisory time next year, as LSC Teacher Representative announced at the May LSC meeting that Lane’s Professional Personnel Leadership Committee is recommending that Lane moves to weekly advisory next year. The move helps bridge Lane to a possible switch to a block schedule in the future. The recommendation will now go to Lane’s Professional Problems Committee before an all-staff vote. When Anthony Joel Quezada was a student at Lane Tech from 2010 to 2013, he was introduced to a wide variety of cultures and the struggles that many of his classmates faced. Now, the 26-year old is hoping to help ease some of the struggles he heard about by running for Eighth District Cook County Commissioner.
