Australian universities offer various support programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, but do these programs achieve their goal of education equity? New research led by Dr Bep Uink explores Indigenous students' engagement with these supports and the effect on student success.

The team provides recommendations on data management; academic and financial support; student support practices; visible acknowledgement of Traditional Owners; mandated professional development; and Indigenous-led auditing of curriculum content.

Help us grow our pool of reviewers and Chairs by encouraging your contacts to submit an expression of interest for those roles.

To maintain the quality of SAGE accreditation, Cygnet Award applications are reviewed by a group with diverse expertise and lived experiences. We particularly welcome:

  • men; Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people; people who identity as LGBTQIA+, including trans, non-binary and gender diverse people; people with disability; and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • researchers and practitioners with expertise in addressing specific systemic or cultural barriers to the attraction, retention or progression of staff/students

Online reviewer training will be provided.
