Keen to volunteer, prefer a virtual universe of ones and zeros to sledgehammers and tape measures? We have opportunities in our IT team for you: Burners who prefer building databases over porta potties.
Our IT team looks after the arcane, marvellous and increasingly intricate IT infrastructure of the Burn. We are running hot with AirTable, Google Workspace and Slack, and our IT volunteers are the equivalent of the engineering deck on Starship Enterprise, keeping her going where no man has gone before.
You should be a techy – databases, information architecture, server management, front-end, security skills are all useful to use (but you don’t have to have all of those things, we work as a team!)
Check out the full job description here, and apply here. NO HACKING!!!

Each year, the Burning Man Temple is brought to life as a safe place for embracing and releasing trauma, loss, and pain. The Empyrean temple will be the 20th embodiment of the Temple at Burning Man, and the first in three years.
While the chaos of the past three years may result in positive change, the grief is still felt. Grief for loved ones lost, for shattered dreams, and for the hurt we continue to bring to each other and our earth. Empyrean Temple was created as a symbol of belonging, and as a place to come together, to reflect, and to leave renewed in hope and love.
Even if you’re not making the trek to BRC this year, you can still participate! Have a nosey here for more info and, if you’re able to, donate and help get this spectacular Temple to the Playa to reunite our community.
