Mechanical engineers analyze their work using the principles of motion, energy, and force. Mechanics have a large focus on physics and the different types of energies/energy transfers.
Students will be furthering their understanding of Mechanical Engineering by building catapults! Catapults help to teach physics, kinetics, kinematics, and ballistics.
If you are not a member and wish to participate in the activity, you will need at least (7) popsicle sticks, (5) rubber bands, a bottle cap (or anything that can be used to hold what's being launched), and cotton balls (or something else small to launch).
