 Council will be celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen with major events across the Borough in June.
On June 4, Platinum parties will be held in #Ballymena, #Carrickfergus and #Larne, featuring the cream of local musical and entertainment talent ahead of the televising on large screens of the #Buckingham Palace concert celebrating the historic occasion.
 Local celebrations will begin in the early evening and then livestream the concert from London!

To celebrate Men's Health Week (13th - 19th June) Aware NI are holding some free online 'Mood Matters' sessions for men!
The sessions are taking place over zoom, and are open to all Trust areas.
They will explore issues related to men's mental health including how to manage feelings of stress and anxiety

Woodlands Presbyterian Church
This is open to all the community.
It is a place that you can come and enjoy some company along with refreshments. Homemade vegetable soup  is on the menu this week and we also have the lovely Sandra B who has very kindly volunteered sandwiches  that’ll be made to order.
So whether you want to come on your own, bring a neighbour or a friend, drop in, say hello and enjoy a meal on us.
Tea/coffee and traybakes are also available.  
This is a FREE service, however, donations are very welcome and go towards helping us with the weekly Food Table.

Health and Safety Capital Programme now open for applications
The programme has been designed to enable organisations to purchase equipment and/or carry out minor works to their premises which will address any health and safety issues that has been created due to Covid-19 or has been an outstanding maintenance issue which has rendered the space not fit for purpose.
 Closing date for applications: Thursday 9th June 2022 at 12pm

UK Government Levelling Up Fund Round 2
The UK Government recently announced the second round of the Levelling Up Fund, which focuses on capital investment in local infrastructure and published a refreshed prospectus, inviting bids from all eligible organisations from Northern Ireland and across the UK. Additionally, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have published a recording of their recent Northern Ireland informational webinar on Round 2 of the Levelling Up Fund. Arts Council NI: Health & Safety Capital Grant

This scheme is now open and closes Thursday 9 June 2022 at 12pm
APEX Common Fund
Apex Housing Association is now inviting applications for funding from its Common Fund. Applicants must be registered charities with a proven track record of delivering services and projects in Northern Ireland and must not have already received a Common Fund grant within the last 3 years. Funding must be used to: support social, environmental, recreational, health and well-being, or support educational or training and employment activities.
Moy Park Community Support Fund closing June 2022
Moy Park pledged £1 million to its Community Support Fund in 2020 to support the on-the-ground projects of voluntary and community groups and charities in those local communities where their sites are based across Europe. Applications are still being accepted until the fund closes on 30 June 2022.
Community Foundation for NI: Social Justice Small Grants Programme The Programme supports locally based community groups and locally based ‘communities of interest’ with an interest in promoting or embedding human rights and social justice in their day-to-day work for and with their chosen communities.
Community Foundation for NI: The Fibrus Community Fund The fund is aimed at addressing digital poverty by awarding grants of up to £2,000 to enable local groups and organisations in particular areas, to provide access to digital technology for the most vulnerable in that community, with a particular focus on older people and young people aged 18 and under.
The Big Give: Christmas Challenge
The Big Give runs the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, The Christmas Challenge. For 7 days, it offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled. The Christmas Challenge 2022 will take place from Tuesday 29 November (midday) – Tuesday 6 December (midday) when donations to participating charities are doubled. Apply by 1 July 2022. |

The Advancing Race Equality Awards 2022
The North West Migrants Forum’s Advancing Race Equality Awards recognise individuals, teams, groups, or networks that have been leading action, removing barriers, and enhancing the inclusion of and engagement with ethnic minority people across Northern Ireland – from the workplace to the delivery of services.
Nomination deadline 25 May 2022.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund
The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK. They distribute National Lottery grants from £3,000 to over £5million, funding projects that sustain and transform the UK's heritage.
Deadline for applications over £250,000 Noon 26 May 2022.
Little Lives: Children’s Community Support Programme
Their programme aims to support children’s groups and organisations, such as play groups or sports classes. However, they are open to applications from other projects, as long as their primary objective focuses on providing services to disadvantaged and disabled children.
Deadline 31 May 2022.
The Europe Challenge 2022
The Europe Challenge is an annual programme that offers funding and support to libraries and communities to explore how we can meet, live together and work in the Europe of today. For 2022, they are inviting libraries and communities to solve a challenge that matters to them, can be shared with other Europeans and that addresses the library as a safe cultural space for dialogue, diversity and understanding between different people and/or provides access to trusted information and curated knowledge for better informed opinion and debate in society including addressing responses for refuges and other affected by the war in Ukraine.
Deadline 5pm, 27 May 2022.

The Co-op Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK that their members care about. They want to help communities to come together, co-operate and have a positive impact on community wellbeing – physically and virtually.
