Call for Applications: Arts & Science Experiential Learning Faculty Fellows Program

The Faculty is pleased to announce a pilot Experiential Learning Faculty Fellows Program, supported by the Provost’s Experiential Learning University Fund. This program will provide structured supports to assist faculty members in developing and administering sustainable experiential learning courses. Fellows will work to build a new experiential learning course or add an experiential learning component into an existing course.

Zoom Tips for Instructors

The Using Zoom at U of T guide provides important tips, including how to claim your U of T Zoom account and schedule class meetings. Instructors may wish to schedule their class links as recurring meetings with no fixed time to reduce access problems for students. As new features roll out frequently, we recommend periodically checking for Zoom desktop app updates.

The Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre has launched a tri-campus monthly newsletter. Register to receive information about free training and events happening on and off campus, self-care tips, articles on care, consent, violence prevention and more.

Launch of U of T's Anti-Asian Racism Working Group

The University of Toronto has established an Anti-Asian Racism Working Group. The Working Group will review programming, activities, processes and practices in place at the institution, and make recommendations to support the University's response to anti-Asian racism. All members of the U of T community are encouraged to engage with the Working Group and provide feedback.

Arts & Science Dean’s Research Excellence Award

The Dean’s Research Excellence Award is designed to help position mid-career researchers to compete successfully in national award competitions. The award recognizes research excellence and sustained research achievement and impact, contributed by faculty members of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Arts & Science.

Call for Applications: Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is intended to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally; develop their leadership potential; and position them for success as research leaders of tomorrow, positively contributing to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth through a research-intensive career. Interested applicants should be directly in touch with potential supervisors. To be considered within the Arts & Science competition, applicants must secure sponsorship of a full-time supervisor(s) from the professoriate (tenured or tenure-stream) within the Faculty of Arts & Science (primary budgetary appointment in Arts & Science, St. George Campus).

Deadline: August 1, 2022, 8 pm

NSERC Alliance National Quantum Strategy Funding Opportunities

  • Alliance Quantum Grants: To scale up Canada’s domestic research capabilities in quantum science and technology through partnerships between university researchers and organizations from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Alliance Consortia Quantum Grants: To enhance synergy across Canada’s regional quantum research and innovation hubs, federal laboratories and other centres and stakeholders.
